About Us
Who we are? A group of empowered young kids coming together to make a positive impact on our world through knowledge, confidence, empathy, hands-on volunteerism, and advocacy .
OVERALL GOALS OF OUR CLUB:
- Education: There will be a fun engaging educational portion co-designed by me, C4C, and an EXPERT in each cause, to start each Sunday - we want this to be fun and informative. We hope to ignite a passion for caring about the community!
- Action: We will then TAKE ACTION together in support of the cause - this could be in the form of volunteering, educating others about our topic, or advocating for change.
- Agency/empowerment/leadership: on the last Sunday (for each cause), the kids will demonstrate their learning by
-Putting together a video of what they have learned that they can share with their classmates, friends, etc. to raise awareness.
-Choose together which local organization they would like to support through a drive or sale.
- write letters to local officials to speak up for the changes they want to see made.
I truly believe that each of our children has the capacity to be leaders in the work of caring about the world and our community.
- Community: We will work together to build a community encouraging empathy and developing habits of mind and heart.
